Hi everyone, Christmas is nearly over for this year but that won’t stop me from doing one last manicure; Christmas nail art part two - Holly.   Step 1:  Paint four nails red, two green, three white and one brown. Step 2: Paint dripping paint on the brown nail and paint a candy cane shape in white on one of the greens. Paint a white line and a little bow at the bottom on the other green nail. Step 3: Using a tiny dotting tool, paint 3 red spots on the white dripping paint. On two of the white nails paint 3 groups of 3 red spots on each. Step 3: Paint dark green leaves around the red dots, Paint the edges of the leaves in a lighter green colour. On the empty white nail paint a green Christmas tree with a little brown triangle at the bottom of it and decorate it. Blue ombre nail art

Hi everyone, I recently purchased some make-up sponges, so it’s a perfect time to try an ombre manicure. Step 1: Start with a basecoat. Step 2: Lay out all the polishes you will be using, from dark to light.  Step 3: Now paint the shades in stripes on the sponge and sponge on the nails. Step 4: now add topcoat, do this straight after you have finished sponging, as it will mix the colours together, and thereby making a smooth transition from colour to colour.

Gold star nail art

Image
Hello everyone, I watched the Pixar short La Luna yesterday, and I was really inspired to paint some cartoony gold stars. Of course I can’t paint anything even close to being as amazing as Pixar, but I am very happy with the end result. So without further ado here comes the instructions. Step 1: Pant all nails black. Step 2: Using a sponge dipped in black and blue, this is important as it will help the colours mix, start painting a line across the nails. Step 3: Now using a glitter polish paint on top of the blue line. Step 4: Now for the stars, start by painting white starts with about 1-2 on each nail. Remember to paint in the blue space. Step 5: Then paint a tiny gold star inside the white star, so the white edge is visible. Step 6: Don’t forget a matte topcoat.

Plant nail art

Step 5: Now paint the actual plants, using a dark green and do a bit of shading with other greens. Step 6: Details, using a dotting tool paint a red heart on your little finger. Continue using the dotting  tool for the flowers, were you paint 5 tiny dots next to each other in a flower shape and add a red dot in the middle. Step 7: Faces, using a black striper, give the cacti a mouth and some spikes, using a dotting tool, paint first a black dot and then two smaller white dots on ...

Stripes and Flower nail art

Image
Hi everyone, Testing a new flower technique, didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted, but anyway there we are. Step 1: Paint two nails white and the rest blue, I used essie; strut your stuff. Step 2: Using a black polish paint some stripes on one of the white nails. You can either free hand or use tape, I attempted free hand with a varying degree of success. Step 3:  Now for the flower, start by painting the stem using black. Then using a square brush dipped in a mixture of different blues, now going round in semi-circular motions create the petals. Then using a small dotting tool, add some black spots in the middle.  Step 4: Use a matte finish topcoat.

Easter nail art 2016

Image
Hi everyone, As usual I went to England for Easter, but since I was rather busy there, I decided to do a simple ‘on the road’ manicure. Step 1: Paint your nails in different Easter colours, I chose light yellow, pink and light blue. Step 2: Using a dotting tool, paint polka dots on most of the nails. Step 3: For the rabbit, paint a big white dot in the middle of the nail, then create the body of the rabbit, for the ears paint a tiny dot near the top of the nail and connect the dots to the head.  Step 4: Then using the same pink create a tail, by using a dotting tool to create a slight flower shape.

January nail art

Image
Hi everyone, I’ve been rather lazy this January, so I decided to do a very simple and easy design. You can change the design depending on how easy you want it to be; I used some nail stickers for the flower/snowflake but you can just paint them yourself. Step 1: Apply protective basecoat. Step 2: Paint a French tip, free hand or help i find that using tape is the easiest way. Step 3: Add flower sticker or paint one. Step 4: Topcoat. Have a lovely January :)
